I'm a married retired nurse living on beautiful Lake Palestine in the East Texas piney woods. I seek to deepen my walk with the Lord daily. I have 4 dogs, a pair of Mandarin ducks, and 20 Ringed Teals. They are all a source of great pleasure. I love growing vegetables, fruits and floral.
I spent the first 26 years of my life in the Houston area. The concrete and traffic took its toll and I moved to East Texas and have lived a rural existence since.
I have always written as a means of expression throughout my life since I was in elementary school. It is something I've always had to do. My brain just works that way. It travels all the time, by land or sea or air it's always traveling.

What a tender and eloquent poem! I especially like this line: “Let’s meet on the
Christmas moon.”
Thank you, Will. Just listened to your Christmas song and took a journey to upstate New York to see your sister’s place. This was a great boost to my spirit today.
I wrote this last year, three months after my youngest son died. His brother died in 1998. I just decided to repost it for this Christmas. God bless you.
A beautiful poem.
Too many are sorely lonely for their loved ones at this time of year.
That is why it is good to always have Jesus sooth our sadness with the peace and joy of His Divine love.
May you receive the best Christmas blessing of all, a day filled with Christ’s amazing love.

Sounds like a good idea to me. My late husband and my youngest son should meet me there.
