I'm a married retired nurse living on beautiful Lake Palestine in the East Texas piney woods. I seek to deepen my walk with the Lord daily. I have 4 dogs, a pair of Mandarin ducks, and 20 Ringed Teals. They are all a source of great pleasure. I love growing vegetables, fruits and floral.
I spent the first 26 years of my life in the Houston area. The concrete and traffic took its toll and I moved to East Texas and have lived a rural existence since.
I have always written as a means of expression throughout my life since I was in elementary school. It is something I've always had to do. My brain just works that way. It travels all the time, by land or sea or air it's always traveling.

This is beautiful! Peace is powerful. It instantly soothes our worries, cares and fears. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding changes lives and hearts. I’m so grateful for His peace!
May God richly bless you and your loved ones this day. 🌹
Why do we always feel such peace when looking out over water? Is it that womb/water thing? The peace and quiet it represents? Time to think, to watch the ripples, to breathe. It’s just as chaotic beneath the smooth, cool, surface, but from this side it looks like … and does … heal so many wounds. Beautiful peace … and piece.
Thank you Phyllis. Peace.
