I'm a married retired nurse living on beautiful Lake Palestine in the East Texas piney woods. I seek to deepen my walk with the Lord daily. I have 4 dogs, a pair of Mandarin ducks, and 20 Ringed Teals. They are all a source of great pleasure. I love growing vegetables, fruits and floral.
I spent the first 26 years of my life in the Houston area. The concrete and traffic took its toll and I moved to East Texas and have lived a rural existence since.
I have always written as a means of expression throughout my life since I was in elementary school. It is something I've always had to do. My brain just works that way. It travels all the time, by land or sea or air it's always traveling.

So beautiful. I thought of my dear Mother and favourite Aunt.
Thank you. I wrote it for a host of people. It seems everyone is gone. My siblings, my mom and dad and two of my sons, plus all of my aunts and uncles. I miss a bunch of people at Christmas.
Well Phillis…this is the annniversary of my youngest sons death 22 years ago and this will be my second Christmas without my husband. Perfect little poem. thank you and Gods continued blessings for you.
very sensitive and delicate. the light always welcomes us and especially in those moments when we embrace all ours that are here or in the infinite. and Elvis softens the feeling.
