A few minutes ago, I heard about the death of Reverend Billy Graham at the age of 99. My heart leapt with gladness for him as he made his way home. Who in the world has harvested more souls for Christ than him? I’m sure there are way too many to ever count. I’m one of those souls.
He saw his calling as one who brought people to salvation through Jesus Christ. He encouraged new Christians to root themselves in the word of God and join others by finding a bible based church. He also founded an incredible ministry of helping those in crisis around the world. His son Franklin Graham has continued his legacy through his father’s years of declining health.
He is hearing the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” His love, faith and hope for the world remains with us. He will never be forgotten.
I'm a married retired nurse living on beautiful Lake Palestine in the East Texas piney woods. I seek to deepen my walk with the Lord daily. I have 4 dogs, a pair of Mandarin ducks, and 20 Ringed Teals. They are all a source of great pleasure. I love growing vegetables, fruits and floral.
I spent the first 26 years of my life in the Houston area. The concrete and traffic took its toll and I moved to East Texas and have lived a rural existence since.
I have always written as a means of expression throughout my life since I was in elementary school. It is something I've always had to do. My brain just works that way. It travels all the time, by land or sea or air it's always traveling.
